VOLUNTEER RECOGNITION<\/strong>
\nThe Township of Tiny has received certificates from the offices of Garfield Dunlop MPP (Simcoe North) and Bruce Stanton, MP (Simcoe
\nNorth) congratulating the Township for its participation in Volunteerism in
\nOur Community and for National Volunteer Appreciation Week.<\/p>\n

SPEEDING COMPLAINT AT WOODLAND BEACH<\/strong>
\nA complaint was received from a resident of the Woodland Beach area with respect to the enforcement of cars speeding in the Tiny Beaches Road South, Park Road and Lawson Road area. An inconclusive general discussion took place regarding the cost of off-duty paid officers and the deployment of the speed radar trailer. Staff was instructed to work with the OPP to develop an operational plan for the deployment of the speed radar trailer.<\/p>\n

OPP SUMMARY REPORT<\/strong>
\nPaul Beesley, Inspector\/Interim Commander, Ontario Provincial Police presented a quarterly report on the Southern Georgian Bay OPP Detachment activities in Tiny. FINAL TAX BY-LAW PASSED<\/strong>
\nAs reported earlier, the Township\u2019s tax rate has been kept low, but it is interesting to see the final figures on where all our money goes:
\nMunicipal purposes $7,731,225 34.3%
\nCounty purposes $7,747,712 34.2%
\nSchool boards $7,080,705 31.4%
\nTotal $22,549,642<\/p>\n

SEPTIC RE-INSPECTION PROGRAM FOR 2011<\/strong>
\nCouncil passed a recommendation to continue the septic re-inspection program to 2014.
\nThe areas to be re-inspected in 2011 are:
\nRural areas of concessions 1 and 4, and of 6 to 7
