Call for referendum
Read the scheduled deputation by resident Borys Kowalsky to Council on June 26 proposing
a referendum on the new administrative building project. Additionally letters to the
editor supporting a referendum were published in Midland Today on August 8 and August 13.
As one author states “holding a referendum would be as close to an exercise in pure democracy
as you can have in a modern representative democracy.”
