The Seventh Annual "Tiny Cottager" Challenge,
this time for the Huronia Hospitals Foundation, Physician Recruitment AND
the Wye Marsh Wildlife Centre
Final Amount raised for 2009: $17,546.18
($14,011.18 to Huronia Hospitals, $1,850 to Physician Recruitment
and $1,685 to the Wye Marsh)

As you know, FoTTSA has been encouraging fundraising in support of the Emergency Department at the Huronia District Hospital for a number of years, partly because we need the service and seasonal residents are not counted in the provincial funding formula and partly as an exercise in community building with our inland neighbours.

This year, the focus of our fundraising is three-fold -- the Emergency Department at the Huronia District Hospital, Physician Recruitment, and the Wye Marsh Wildlife Centre. We urge all of you to report on your fundraising successes to president@tinycottager.org

Crests will be awarded on Thanksgiving weekend for
a) the largest average amount per household raised by a small
association (under 50)
b) the largest average amount per household raised by a large
association (51 +)
c) the largest amount of any association

To date shore area associations in Tiny Township have raised $75,000 for the local hospitals through the annual “Challenge Cup” competition.
